The Beilstein Archives is a free, open access platform, providing scholars the opportunity to rapidly publish preprints (pre-peer-reviewed manuscripts intended for publication) and related supporting information (code, data sets, movies, spectra, images, etc.).
The Beilstein Archives is part of the non-profit Beilstein-Institut's ongoing commitment to open science and transparent communication in the chemical sciences and related disciplines and provides scholars with a non-commercial platform, managed by a long-standing, reputable non-profit institute. As with all projects supported by the Beilstein-Institut, all publications in the Beilstein Archives are open access and are always available to read, download, and share – no subscription needed.
Why publish or read preprints in the Beilstein Archives?
Readers should be aware that preprints in the Beilstein Archives may be draft versions of manuscripts, which might contain some errors, or report on information that has not yet been accepted or reviewed by the scientific community. The preprints are not copyedited, typeset or peer-reviewed.
The Beilstein Archives is currently limited to publishing preprints of unpublished research results in the fields of organic chemistry and nanotechnology specified below. At this time, we are only publishing preprints that are intended for publication in one of the Beilstein Journals and we are not accepting review articles for consideration as preprints.
The Advisory Board of the Beilstein Archives includes leaders in scholarly communication, in addition to scientists who are knowledgeable in the subject areas outlined in the scope.
The Beilstein Archives is managed by the Beilstein-Institut (Managing Editor ) and is advised by the following members of the scientific community who provide feedback on the service and act as advocates:

Elizabeth Marincola | African Academy of Sciences |
