Research areas

Dr. Sasaki has worked on the realization of supramolecular sensors and their devices based on molecular self-assembly. As observed in nature, molecular assembly is a driving force in obtaining functional molecules. Such functions embedded in self-assembled structures are fascinating from the viewpoint of material development and sensor applications, whereas the correlation between assembled structures and their functions is still unclear. Motivated by this, she has approached this challenging area through interdisciplinary research in her laboratory since 2024.
