Research areas
The group of Prof. Meixner focuses on the development and application of modern microscopic and spectroscopic methods for the optical detection, localization and characterisation of single (bio-) molecules and molecular aggregates (confocal microscopy, near-field optical microscopy, single-molecule spectroscopy).
Thematic Series
Prof. Meixner edited the Thematic Series in the Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology:
Optical near-fields & nearfield optics (together with Prof. Paul Leiderer)
Nanophotonics, nano-optics and nanospectroscopy
Optically and electrically driven nanoantennas (together with Dr. Dai Zhang and Prof. Monika Fleischer)
