Results and Discussion
Composition and characterization of the materials
XRD patterns and a SEM micrograph of the starting zeolite mineral (ZSA) are shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2, respectively. The diffraction patterns are normalized and evidence the presence of mordenite and clinoptilolite–heulandite
acicular to fibrous characteristics, associated with mordenite, can be observed. Additionally, clinoptilolite–heulandite crystals with slats and tabular morphology are present.
