Chirality is a fundamental concept in organic chemistry, traditionally associated with tetrahedral carbon stereocenters. However, the exploration of non-central chirality has revealed a rich landscape of stereoisomerism that extends beyond the conventional carbon-centered chirality.

This thematic issue, titled “Non-central chirality in organic chemistry”, seeks to highlight the latest advancements and innovations concerning organic molecules exhibiting axial, planar, helical, and other forms of non-central chirality. We invite submissions that delve into the synthesis, properties, and applications of these fascinating molecules. Whether through original research papers or reviews, we aim to showcase the broad impact and potential of non-central chirality in modern organic synthesis, materials science, catalysis, and beyond.
