The fourth edition of "Multicomponent reactions" plans to summarize and update developments in recent years on domino, sequential, and consecutive multicomponent reactions. This thematic issue of the Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry builds upon the success of the previous thematic issues devoted to multicomponent reactions (please see here for edition I, edition II, and edition III).
